Republican candidate Mitt Romney has won the State of Idaho boosting his electoral college vote by 12, bringing it to 190.
However it now looks almost impossible for him to win the election over all.
A Republican state through and through, Idaho has a history of individualism and the pioneer spirit having been settled by people from the Midwest and the South after the Civil War.
The Gem State has not voted for a Democratic candidate for the Presidency since 1964 and even on that occasion Lyndon B. Johnson only won it by approximately two percentage points.
It seemed like an inevitability that Mitt Romney would take Idaho.
Total Votes so Far:
Barack OBAMA (Dem): 244/270
Mitt ROMNEY (Rep):190/270
